The graduate program at Texas A&M University’s College of Engineering was ranked No. 8 in the nation among public universities, according to U.S. News & World Report 2026-2027 Best Engineering Graduate Schools Rankings. The program was ranked No. 14 overall in the nation.

“These rankings speak to the continued excellence of our graduate programs,” said Dr. Robert H. Bishop, vice chancellor and dean of Texas A&M Engineering. “This recognition showcases the high caliber of our graduate programs, research opportunities and faculty in preparing students for success across academia, industry and government roles.”

In addition to the college’s top 10 public ranking, eight departments were ranked as top 10 public graduate programs in the nation, with six departments ranking No. 1 in Texas.
