Investing in Aggie innovation in biosciences research
The Edward S. Price ’93 Undergraduate Scholars Fund aims to support Texas A&M University students devoted to life sciences research in the chemical engineering department.

A lot has changed since the last time Edward S. Price ’93 was in Aggieland.
As a graduate student, Price was a New England native trying to make sense of Aggie traditions and the Texas heat. Now, he walks through Texas A&M University’s campus as the founder of PCI Synthesis — the largest pharmaceutical manufacturer in New England.
The company started as a contract development and manufacturing organization in 1997, with two sites located in Massachusetts. By 2016, the company had grown to 130 employees and was eventually sold in 2019 to a French-based pharmaceutical chemicals company. In 2021, Price stepped away from the business but has continued to pour his efforts into the future of chemical engineering.
He is a dedicated supporter of education and research at his undergraduate alma mater, the University of Massachusetts. There, he serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council, the Development Committee for the College of Engineering, and the Industrial Advisory Board for the Department of Chemical Engineering.
Through the Edward S. Price ’93 Undergraduate Scholars Fund, he’s investing in his fellow Aggies to be driving forces for innovation and foster growth in the chemical engineering department’s development of biosciences research.
“I have been very lucky to have been able to achieve a significant measure of both professional and personal success,” Price said. “I wanted to give back to an institution that helped chart my career path.”
With wisdom hard-earned since leaving Aggieland, Price returned with advice for those in the same position he once was.
“Pursue your goals, regardless of obstacles,” he said. “Success in life is a conscious choice.”
How to give
